brasilien2 slThe gap widens

Even though Brazil’s economy takes seventh place word wide, more than 10 million people live in extreme poverty and can hardly afford staple food. The gap between rich and poor widens more and more.

Pushed off misery
Pushed off in Favelas the poor hardly disturb the image of this rich country. The state looks after them inadequately. Government social security benefits came into existence only a short time ago. But they are paid out only irregularly – if at all.

We have been working in Brazil for over 20 years and provide help where government support fails. Our soup kitchens keep many alive. Also, in three children’s homes we offer children without parents a loving environment to grow up.
